A pressure group, Citizen Awake Forum (CAF,) has stated it is willing to foot all campaign expenses of 2012 New Patriotic Party (NNP) flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Their intention was stated in a press release issued and signed by Executive Director of CAF, Ernest Kojo Smith yesterday in Accra.
According to the group, their willingness to fund the campaign of Nana Addo stems from their belief that the 2012 NPP flag bearer is the �man with the solution� to the country�s ailing problems.
Citing monies wrongfully paid to Alfred Agbesi Woyome, and scandals such as that of Isofoton, Ghana Youth and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA), Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), Subah Infosolutions Limited as examples, the group said the country�s problems are �self-inflicted�.
To this end, the release called on appointees of the President to stop attributing the economic hardship to the end times and instead order the President to provide good leadership to the country.
�Regrettably, leadership in government has failed Ghanaians with no proper supervision over our state resources�the energy sector is just appalling,� the group averred.
All these, the leadership of CAF said, is making Ghanaians to be fed up with the Mahama administration hence the need, according to the group, for someone to resolve the economic problems the country is going through.
�Ghana doesn�t just need anybody but someone who is able and visionary to lead the country� the statement noted.
Such a man, the group said is Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo Addo whom they described as the �man for the job.�
According to the group, Nana Addo is someone who can help resolve the current problems bedeviling the country.
�Thus, CAF is willing to pay for Nana Addo�s nomination and filing fees as well as his campaign expenses�.,� it said.
