Paul Afoko Expresses Worry Over Unending Infightings Within The NPP

The National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko has expressed worry over the seemingly unending infighting within the party. According to him, the party cannot continue to suffer from �friendly fire� which could cause the party greatly in the next general election whiles these energies can be channeled into profitable ventures to secure political victory for the party in the 2016 general elections. In a short speech which was broadcast live on NEAT 100.9 FM , Chairman Afoko said; ��as a party, our energy is not directed at winning power but directed at attacking each other..this is wrong�. He made this call during a courtesy call by NPP Constituency Executives from across the country. Achibald Cobbina, the spokesperson of the delegation urged the National officers to be encouraged by the total endorsement given them in Tamale and to pursue a program that would ensure that the NPP delivers effectively to ensure that power is recaptured in 2016. National officers present were: National Chairman, Paul Afoko; the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong; second Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe and the National Treasurer, Abankwa Yeboah. On behalf of the steering committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyepong thanked the gallant soldiers for their dedication and sacrifice to the party. He was elated by the energy of the officers who sang patriotic songs and encouraged the team to remain composed to deliver their mandate. The Chairman of the party reechoed what the General Secretary said and called for unity as the party prepares to open nominations.
