NPP Has Been Ineffective Arthur Kennedy

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Arthur Kennedy says he fully supports Professor Kwame Karikaris assertion that the NPP is indeed not living up to its responsibility as a relevant opposition party. Dr. Arthur Kennedy says he is convinced the party has not done enough to protect the interest of Ghanaians under the current economic crises. Professor Karikari with the University of Ghanas School of Communication at a workshop accused the NPP and other political parties of sleeping on the job by not keeping government on its toes. He therefore charged the media to take up the mandate by representing the interest of Ghanaian citizens and holding government accountable. But the Vice Chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay denied this assertion and maintained that the party is doing its possible best to protect the interest of Ghanaians. Dr. Arthur Kennedy in an interview with Citi News stated that the country is going through crisis; there are scandals and crisis so I think that the NPP should raise its voice. He charged the party to be at the forefront for fighting for ordinary Ghanaians whose bills are going up and we have institutionalized dumsor dumsor. The onetime NPP presidential aspirant indicated that regardless of happenings within the NPP as a party, we ought to be vigorously making a case for the Ghanaian and holding the government accountable. In response to Mr. Blay, Dr. Arthur Kennedy said the NPP can do better than what it is currently doing.
