Friends, family and well-wishers who attended late Kofi Ansah's funeral had a lot to worry and cry about when they sat and watched his lifeless body laid in state while some models who worked with him showcased the creative handy work of their dearly departed. The funeral service for the late legendary fashion designer, held at the State House in Accra last Friday, was not without a splendid display of African fabric, beautifully designed to particularly showcase Ghana�s rich culture, which was what he stood for before sudden death. Some of the designs were put together by Kofi Ansah himself before he left for eternity, was displayed by some beautiful models. This touched on the emotions of some of the mourners who couldn�t believe Ghanaian international Fashion Designer Kofi Ansah is no more and not even the rains could stop them from shedding tears. Some of the familiar faces spotted at the funeral included; Presidential aspirants Nana Akufo Addo and his wife, Alan Kyeremanteng, Ghanaian Film maker Kwaw Ansah who is Kofi Ansah�s brother, Samia Nkrumah, KSM, KOD, Dr. Kofi Amoah, among other dignitaries. The late Kofi Ansah, until his death, was a renowned innovative fashion designer credited with the changing face of the Ghanaian fashion industry and icon in the field of African fashion designs. He was a founding member as well as past President of the Federation of African Designers. He designed the anniversary cloth for the Ghana @ 50 Golden Jubilee celebration of the country�s independence. Kofi Ansah died at the age of 62 on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
