Pastor Robbed At Gun Point

A REVEREND Minister of Christ Apostolic Church at Old Tafo, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, has been robbed of his valuables at gun point by people suspected to be armed robbers. The man of God, who dwells at Tafo Ahenbronum, was robbed of his two hand bags by seven men, two of whom had been apprehended by the police. The suspects made away with items including HP laptop, worth GH600; Iphone, valued at GH1,700; Vodafone modem and a flash drive. Those arrested were Kwaku Awusah and Salifu Anguaba, who are assisting the police in their investigations. Dada James, a known armed robber who is on police wanted list, K2 and Black G, together with two others, escaped arrest. Chief Supt. Charles Domanban, Tafo/Pankrono Police Commander, said the hoodlums usually robbed unsuspecting people at the Krofrom traffic light at night. On May 27 this year, around 4:00 am, he said, the pastor, whilst waiting for a taxi at the Krofrom traffic light, was attacked by the gang at gun point and dispossessed him of the aforementioned items. The robbers were said to have threatened to shoot the man of God if he refused to comply with their order, and so he quickly surrendered his two bags to them. The Reverend Minister identified Kwaku Awusah and Salifu Anguaba when police later paraded criminals in their custody. After thorough investigation, the police charged Awusah and Anguaba with the offence and arraigned them before court. Chief Supt Domanban stated that the police were making frantic efforts to arrest the five people who vanished into thin air when they realized that the police were after them.
