A custom officer who allegedly raped, defiled and sodomized his four biological children has been arrested by the Police.
Micheal Kojo Brentuo Acquah, 42, clerk to the Director-General of the customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) was said to have had carnal knowledge with his children, aged between 10 months and 20 years at his residence at Banana Inn in Accra.
He allegedly raped his 20-year-old daughter, defiled his 11-year-old girl, sodomized his seven-year-old son and forced his 10-month-old baby girl to lick his manhood.
Acquah was caught red-handed by the wife last Friday indecently assaulting his 10-month-old baby girl and later arrested.
But he had denied the charges in his caution statement to the police.
Acquah was said to have been married to his wife (name withheld) for the past 20 years.
He was said to have been abusing the children since 2010.
According to the Police, his wife caught him in the act and reported the issue to his family members but she was asked to settle the case amicably at home and also send him to a pastor for prayers.
The Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department, Commissioner of Police (COP), Prosper Kwame Agblor, told the Ghanaian Times in an exclusive interview yesterday that the victims (name withheld) lived with their parents at Banana Inn in Accra.
He said the suspect was currently in police custody assisting in investigations.
COP Agblor said the victims have been sent to a shelter home for protection.
He said the suspect would be put before court soon for incest, defilement, sodomy and rape.
