Trader Pours Hot Water Mixed With Pepper On Colleague

A 24-year-old trader who poured hot water mixed with pepper on her colleague was on Thursday charged with causing unlawful harm by an Accra Circuit Court. Mabel Aidoo,18, pleaded not guilty. The court presided over by Mr Seyeram Tsatsu Azumah admitted Mabel to bail in the sum of GH�20,000.00 with one surety who should to be a public servant. Mabel is expected to re-appear on June 26. Comfort Amoako, 24, sustained severe burns from her head to her stomach and is receiving medical care. Comfort has been bandaged from her head to the stomach making it difficult for her to turn her head when she came to court. Prosecuting Chief Inspector Solomon Debi told the court that on June 8, Mabel and the complainant who reside in the same house at Madina called Comfort a drunkard and that generated into a fight but they were separated. Chief Inspector Debi said after the fight, the Comfort left the house to her boyfriend�s house. Prosecution said on her return, whiles walking to her room, Mabel who had boiled hot water and mixed it with pepper, poured the mixture on her. The complainant sustained severe injuries on head, neck, chest and stomach. A report was made to the Police at Madina and Mabel was arrested.
