Duncans Lawyers To Force Hearts To Cough Up GH89,000

Accra Hearts of Oak have an uncomfortable task at hand , as they get set to cough up a whopping GHC89,000 for what the Ghana Football Association (GFA) had described as wrongful dismissal of their former coach, David Duncan. Lawyers of Duncan have launched a tenacious bid to force the Phobians to pay the amount. Lawyer Adu Amoah last Wednesday told Graphic Sports that they would next week begin the process to force Hearts to comply with the ruling. The Ethics Committee of the GFA ruled in November last year, ordering the Phobians to pay Duncan, GH86,000 for dismissing Duncan against the terms of his contract with Hearts. Last week the Review Committee of the GFA threw out an application by Hearts to dismiss the ruling after failing to achieve that through the FAs appellate committee. The Phobians would be served a demand notice next week in which the demands of his client would be stated and where the amount should be lodged. If they fail to comply then we would be compelled to enforce the judgement, he stated. He described moves by Hearts to seek a legal remedy as shocking and futile saying after going through all the grievance resolution processes at the FA, it will be sheer waste of time to turn to the courts.
