The New Patriotic Party has rejected proposals to settle out-of-court, a legal suit challenging the party�s upcoming presidential primary. The party's lawyers have received instructions to mount a strong defence to the reliefs being sought by its former chairman of the Central Tongu constituency David Hoezame. In his statement of claim, Mr. Hoezame is questioning the legality in the composition of the National Council. He is also challenging the suitability of the December 6 date set for the party�s presidential primary. But the First Vice Chairman of the party, Freddy Blay said the party strongly opposed suggestions to settle the matter out of court. He described the legal challenge as �annoying� and therefore rejected the proposed out-of-court settlement, insisting the party will go on with its defence. �So we urge our members to stay cool and go on with their activities; we don�t think this is any problem at all�Some even described it as a nuisance value.�
