Presbyterian Church Ordains 12 Ministers

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has ordained 12 additional ministerial probationers at Asiakwa in the Eastern Region, with a call on them to bring hope to the people. The ordination service was on the theme: "Fear Not". The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana Reverend Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, in a sermon, reminded the new ministers that they had a responsibility to lead society, particularly their congregants, to live without fear in spite of all the economic, political challenges they are going through and live lives worthy of emulation. He said it was unfortunate that anytime there was elections fear grips Ghanaians to the extent that people withdraw their monies from banks, buy foods and other important items and hoard them in their houses for fear of political instability. Rev Dr Opuni-Frimpong urged the new ordained ministers to preach the message of peace to the people to ensure that they continue to have confidence in the church.
