Over 90 exhibitors from around the world will showcase their goods and services to the Ghanaian public and the West African market at a water and construction trade show from July 2 to 4, 2014.
The Water Africa and West Africa Building & Construction 2014 exhibition and seminar is scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre.
According to the event organisers, ACE Event Management of the UK, there would be a number of seminars, two of which will address major challenges facing the water and construction sectors of the economy.
Construction & water
Speaking to the Daily Graphic in Accra,the Managing Director of ACE Event Management, Mrs Tracey Nolan-Shaw, said DEM Ghana, a company which supplies heavy equipment and service for mining, industry, agriculture and forestry products from the Wirtgen Group, Hitachi Mining & Construction Machinery and Combi Wear Parts, would lead the discussion on construction.
An Indian company, Jindal SAW Ltd, which is one of the largest suppliers of ductile iron pipes, will be extolling the virtues of these pipes, including higher mechanical capabilities, durability, ease of handing and laying and corrosion resistance.
Also, Inesfly will be promoting their new mosquito repellant paint that is expected to enhance people�s lives and the paint industry in the whole of Africa.
Polytank in Ghana is introducing extra tough plastic pallets to replace termite-vulnerable wooden pallets.
Seminar & trade event
The water seminar will look, among other topics, at progress towards the Millenium Development Goals, urban and rural water and sanitation, pro-poor water delivery and reduction of non-revenue water.
The programme for the Building & Construction seminar will include finance, roads and transport, health and safety, energy efficiency and low-cost housing, at which a number of institutions and agencies would be making presentations.
Mrs Nolan-Shaw noted that the importance of the trade event to the country and the region could be gauged by the support it regularly received from organisations and the public.
