NDC Youth Root For Tawiah Boateng �As E/R chairman

A GROUP of NDC youth in the Eastern region calling itself "Friends of Bismark Tawiah Boateng (FOBTB) has endorsed Bismark Tawiah Boateng as regional chairman of the party in the Eastern region. At a press conference held in Koforidua on Thursday, the convener of the group, Isaac Adonu stated that, Mr Boateng has played significant role since PNDC era in various capacities till date hence, he is the better man to chair the party in the region. "Bismark Tawiah Boateng was prolific in the organization and formation of Eagle Club which later formed part of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), rose through the ranks and became the Organizer of the club. �He became the first constituency organizer in then Koforidua constituency from 1992-1998.Due to his commitment and hard work he was appointed to serve as the first Eastern regional Welfare Officer from 1998-2001 and subsequently elected as regional organizer in 2001, a position he has held till date." According the group, through the collaborative effort of Mr Boateng, votes for the NDC in Eastern region has been increasing which has led to the victories of the party even when in opposition. The group said Mr Boateng is a grassroots man who knows the needs of supporters, branch and constituency executives for effective campaigning and strategy in winning elections. FOBTB is, therefore, calling on all NDC delegates in the region to vote for Mr Boateng as regional chairman. Mr Boateng will contest the chairmanship position with Alhaji Sumaila, current regional vice chairman, now acting as chairman of the party in the region and a former regional chairman of the party, popularly known as Jowak in the upcoming regional election.
