Politician Calls For Halt To Demonstrations

Mr King James Azorbitah, a politician, has appealed to Ghanaians to take legal action against ministries and public organizations who fail to deliver rather than holding demonstrations against the President. He told the GNA in an interview that this would make sector ministers and other government officials more responsible, adding that frequent demonstrations against the President might distract him and also deny him the congenial atmosphere he needed to function effectively. Mr Azorbitah said by so doing it would be possible for the President to turn the fortunes of the country around for the benefit of all irrespective of political linkages, tribe or religious beliefs. He said some unscrupulous persons could also take advantage of demonstrations to create political instability. It is better to be poor in our own country have peace than resort to wars, thereby becoming refugees in alien countries, he said.
