I Won't Allow Murderers To Destabilize My Regime- President Mahama

Persons found in connection with the gruesome murder of the chief of Bimbilla will be drastically dealt with, President Mahama has assured. He made this pronouncement when he met with the National House of Chiefs in Kumasi in the Ashanti region. According to President Mahama, his administration doesn�t intend to interfere in chieftaincy matters but would also not take a softer line when it comes to chieftaincy disputes. The late Bimbilla Naa Dasana Andani Abdulai II was murdered along with six others in Bimbila by unknown assailants on June, 19, 2014 at his palace. The cause of his murder is yet to be established. So far 17 suspects are reported by the Ministry of Interior as being in police custody assisting them in their investigations. President Mahama touched on the tendency of the matter and indicated that such matters can destabilize the country. He further condemned act, describing it as �appalling and brutal�. He said his government will not allow activities of murderous individuals and groups to thrive by creating �so much hurt, pain and insecurity in our community.�
