Parliament Approves Ministerial Nominees

Parliament Friday approved eleven persons nominated by the President for ministerial appointments. They are Nii Osah Mills, Minister designate for Lands and Natural Resources; Dr Kwaku Agyeman-Mensah, Minister designate for Health; Mr James Zuugah Tiigah, Minister designate for the Upper East Region; Mr Acquinas Tawiah Quansah, Minister designate for the Central Region and Mr Antwi Boasiako Sekyere, Minister designate for the Eastern Region. The rest are Mrs Della Sowah, Deputy Minister designate for Gender, Children and Social Protection; Dr Victor Asare Bampoe, Deputy Minister designate for Health; Mr Johnny Osei Kofi, Deputy Minister designate for Water Resources, Works and Housing; Mr Alex Segbefia, Deputy Minister designate for Defence; Mrs Mona Quartey, Deputy Minister designate for Finance and Mr Ato Sarpong, Deputy Minister designate for Communications. The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Ebo Barton-Odro, who is also the Chairman of the Appointments Committee of the House, who moved the motion for the adoption of the report of the committee, said the various nominees distinguished themselves at the vetting and should be approved.
