The Police hospital mortuary has been closed down indefinitely for major rehabilitation works to begin, the hospital authorities have confirmed. The closure is to enable work to be done for the mortuary to attain its status since it is the major referral centre. Speaking to Adom News, the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, ASP Juliana Obeng said the mortuary will be closed down indefinitely until all rehabilitation works are completed. �We want to refurnish the whole place so that when dead bodies are brought, conserving them wouldn�t be a difficulty.�� She noted that as a matter of urgency, they have contacted relatives who have their corpse there to come for them while the others would be kept in other hospitals. ASP Obeng appealed to the general public to send their deceased to other mortuaries in the country.
