NHIA Suspends Adwoa Boatemaa Memorial Clinic

The National Health Insurance Authority [NHIA] has with effect from July 26, 2014 suspended the Adwoa Boatemaa Memorial Clinic in Mamprobi, Accra from providing services to NHIS subscribers. The action is because the facility failed to meet minimum standards. The three month suspension followed scheduled clinical audits conducted at the facility by the NHIA which produced worrying results. The Clinical Audit is a routine assessment of NHIS-credentialed facilities to ensure strict adherence to standards. The public is hereby informed that the Adwoa Boatemaa Memorial Clinic as a result of the sanction will no longer provide services to NHIS card holders on account of the NHIS, until the Authority is satisfied that recommendations proffered are implemented as a prerequisite to lifting the suspension. The NHIA as a social health protection program takes seriously service delivered at all provider sites and will ensure that its service providers adhere to quality standards in the interest of our subscribers.
