Upper East Regional Minister Assures All Inclusion Leadership

The newly appointed Upper East Regional Minister, James Zuugah Tiigah, has called for calm in the region, and for all hands to be on deck in order to develop all communities within the region. Mr. James Tiigah promised to run an open door administration and called for good ideas that would help develop the region. The new Minister was addressing some National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters and residents in the region, who had come in their numbers to welcome him, on Sunday, July 27. This was in sharp contrast to initial fears and speculations that the Minister was going get a cold reception due to the series of demonstrations that preceded his vetting and his arrival in the region. Mr. James Tiigah hinted that he was committed to maintaining peace and unity in the region, in order to create an enabling environment for the development of the various communities of the region. The Regional Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bonaba, advised the Minister not to ignore the plight of the ordinary people in the region, but open his doors to them, especially members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
