A flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Addai Nimoh is asking the leadership of the party to punish Members of Parliament who declared support for Nana Akufo- Addo on Tuesday. The Deputy Minority leader Dominic Nitiwul revealed at the launch of Nana Addos campaign for the partys presidential slot that most of the Members of Parliament (MPs) support his candidature. Mr. Nimoh said even though he is not perturbed by the declaration, the leadership of the party should ensure it disciplines the MPs to protect the partys unity. I will urge the party hierarchy to apply the rules and regulations accordingly, It is surprising for such a comment to come from Hon. Dominic Nitiwul. I wonder how he speaks for most of the members of the party, he said. Speaking to Citi News, the Mampong legislator, he advised Mr. Nitiwul to be cautious in his public statements Meanwhile, an aide to Alan Kyeremanten says Alans camp is unperturbed by the turnout at Nana Addos campaign launch. Nana Akufo Addo at the campaign launch said he was fit and strong to run as a presidential candidate on the ticket of the NPP. Commenting on Nana Addos statement, Mr. Longdon said he[Nana Addo] placed too much emphasis on his health. Mr. Longdon further described the decision by some members of Parliament to endorse Nana Addo as political. This is political electioneering we are doing and there are all kinds of things being done,he said.
