NADMO Donates To Ada Disaster Victims

Mr Kofi Portuphy, the National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), has appealed to people in the Ada East and Ada West districts to desist from sand winning. He said this would help in protecting and saving them from being affected by tidal waves. Mr Portuphy said this when NADMO donated relief items to the two district assemblies to be distributed to eleven communities in Sege and Ada who were displaced by the recent floods. The items include mattresses, buckets, used clothing, rice, cooking oil, bowls, plates, and gallons for water. He said NADMO was pursuing a micro finance programme to assist disaster victims. Mr Antony Yao Klokpa, District Chief Executive for Ada West, said the donation was timely and that the items will be distributed accordingly to the affected and displaced families. Mr John Nurdeen, DCE for Ada East, thanked NADMO for the donation.
