Man Grabbed For Defiling Nieces Of Police Officers

A twenty-three year old decoder dealer, Boadu Stephen popularly known as Compact has been arrested by the Kibi divisional police command for allegedly defiling two young girls who are nieces of two police officers stationed at Kibi. The suspect is currently in police custody assisting further investigations. The suspect lives at Akyem Asiakwa, while the victims live at Kibi, both in the East Akyem municipality of the Eastern region. Briefing the DAILY HERITAGE on Monday, the Kibi divisional police officer in charge of Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU), Inspector Paulina Turkson explained that a police officer with the Kibi division of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service in Kibi lodged a complaint that the suspect has defiled her 14-year-old niece who lives with her Kibi. According to her, the complainant has been sending the victim to withdraw money from the bank at Asiakwa for her. The suspect spotted the victim, approached her and noted her mobile number which was followed by regular calls to the victim. The complainant said she became suspicious and seized the mobile phone from the victim, but was later released to her due to the inconvenience created as far as communication was concerned On July 24 this year, the complainant sent the victim to the bank for similar assignment; however, the suspect lured the victim into his room and forcibly had sex with her and warned her not to tell anyone. Due to this incident, the victim returned late to the house and left her phone in the suspect�s room. When confronted by the complainant, the victim explained that there was a queue at the bank causing her delay; besides she lost her phone in a car. Inspector Turkson said, on July 28, the victim sneaked to the house of the suspect in the absence of the complainant to pick her phone from the suspect's house; however: the suspect took advantage and once again forcibly had sexual intercourse with her. She said the victim returned home late and when interrogated by the complainant she narrated her ordeal at the hands of the suspect. A complaint was lodged at the Asiakwa police station and the suspect after noticing that he was wanted by the police, reported himself and was arrested and subsequently put before the Kibi Magistrate Court where he was granted bail. Unfortunately for the suspect, a police officer at Kibi had also reported to the police that the same suspect had allegedly defiled his wife's junior sister who is 14-years-old. Inspector Turkson said the complainant explained that on July 26, he observed blood stains on the dress of the victim and when questioned the following day by the complainant, the victim narrated her ordeal that, the suspect called her into his shop to send her, but locked her up and forcibly had sex with her and warned her not to tell anyone. The suspect during interrogation by the police denied the offence; however the police say they are processing the suspect for court.
