Barton Odro And Betty Must Be Prosecuted For Dissipating Our Money In An Evil Way

Corporate governance is concerned with holding the balance between economic and social goals and between individual and communal goals. The governance framework is there to encourage the efficient use of resources and equally to require accountability for the stewardship of those resources. The aim is to align as nearly as possible the interest of individuals, corporations and society(Sir Adrian Cadbury,UK,Commission Report: Corporate Governance 1992) We thank the Supreme Court of the Republic of Ghana for setting the records straight that Mr Alfred Abgesi Woyome had no contractual agreement with the Government of Ghana and should not have been paid GHc51.M .We also congratulate Hon Martin Alamisi Amidu for taking the bull by the horn and taking the matter to court. Mr Barton Oduro Must resign with immediate effect and face prosecution for the role he played in authorizing the payment of this money to Woyome.Parliament is a unique and decent institution whose image should not be dragged in the mud. If President John Dramani Mahama is keen on fighting corruption, he must crack the whip by instructing his chief Legal Advisor to process the duo (Barton Oduro and Betty Mould Iddrisu) for court to set as example. The taxpayers money cannot be dissipated in this reckless, inhumane and evil manner to further impoverish the Ghanaian taxpayer. The Taxpayers Alliance Ghana on behalf of all Ghanaian taxpayers await the President to walk the talk by prosecuting Barton Oduro and Betty Mould Iddrisu,so that the Ghanaian taxpayer would not be short changed by the very people who have swore to protect them.
