In the state of Washington D.C. of United States of America U.S.A. August 6, 2014, the news was that scores of angry Ghanaians hit the streets to demonstrate against President John Dramani Mahama and his government. According to �The Announcer Newspaper�, the frustrated Ghanaians protested against the mismanagement of the country�s economy by the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC government. However, in the Greater Toronto Area [GTA] in Ontario Province of Canada last weekend, the story was different as Ghanaian institutions and associations held various events such as barbecue for its members, families, friends and loved ones to celebrate the last long weekend holiday of the summer in the year 2014.
