Businessman To Contest NDC Constituency Post

An Akyem Oda-based businessman, Mr Frank Kwasi Nkansah, has filed his nomination to contest as the Asene-Manso-Akroso Constituency Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). Speaking to the Daily Graphic at Oda last Friday, Mr Nkansah, who is a government-appointed assembly member and presiding elder of the Church of Pentecost at Akyem Asene Central, said when voted into power he would strive to wrest the constituency seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He said in order to achieve that objective, he would move from village to village to canvass for votes for the NDC. Mr Nkansah, a philanthropist, stressed that he would organise regular seminars for the branch executives of the NDC to enable them to educate the people in the hinterlands on government policies, programmes and development projects for them to know that the Better Ghana Agenda was on course. According to him, if he was voted as the constituency chairman, he would be a servant and not lord over them, adding that he would run an open-door administration. Mr Nkansah stated that he provided tiles for the Oda constituency office before the constituency was divided into two in 2012. Mr Nkansah further stated that he had personally provided electricity at the Asene market, rehabilitated two public standpipes in the town, as well as providing 500 blocks for the renovation of the chiefs palace.
