Major Boakye Gyan Contests NDC Constituency Chairman

Major Boakye Gyan (Ret), Spokesperson for the erstwhile Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC), has filed his nomination to contest the Jaman South Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairmanship position. He was the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency in Election 2012 and lost. Other contestants are Mr Paul Bediako Hockey and Alhaji Ibrahim Osman Kumi, Deputy Youth Organizer of the party. The contestants submitted their nomination forms to Mr Kenneth Kwanangwa Ankamah, NDC Jaman South Constituency Acting Secretary at Drobo. Mr Peter Kwabena Ankomah, NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency during Election 2008, is contesting for the post of Constituency Secretary. Another contestant for the Constituency Secretary is Nana Joseph Kwadwo Agyemang, assemblyman for Dwenem Electoral Area, Jaman South District Coordinator of the NFED and Constituency Communications Director of the NDC. Other contestants for the Secretary position are Mr Ankamah, the Acting Secretary and Mr Jacob Mensah. Mr Ankamah received the nominations and commended the Publicity and Communications Committee for sensitizing members of the party to avoid problems that characterized the previous nominations. He advised the nominees and their supporters to eschew politics of vilification and conduct their campaign with decorum.
