Please Hand Over Bused NDC Activists To A Psychiatrist - Gen. Mosquito Pleads

General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has sarcastically proposed that the mental faculties of alleged NDC activists intending to take part in the limited voter registration exercise miles away from their place of residence be assessed by a Psychiatrist. He was casting doubts over reports that members of his party were been bused from the Upper East Region of the country to register in the Ashanti Region. Ghanas Electoral Commission on Monday, July 4, began a nationwide process across 6,000 centers, to register Ghanaians who turned 18 after the 2012 general elections and adults who could not register during the previous registration exercises. The 10-day exercise however ends on Wednesday. Several culprits were accosted in Ashanti Region after the Chairman for the NPP in the region, Antwi Boasiako, picked up intelligence that the NDC were busing voters to register at the Asawase, Oforikrom, Alabar, New Edubiase and Tepa areas. Sixty (60) culprits were arrested and thirteen (13) according reports received by Peacefmonline.com have been handed over to the Zongo Police Station. However, Mr. Asiedu Nketia affectionately referred to as General Mosquito tells Peace fm that the allegations are false. He maintains that if such a person or group is caught, they must first be handed over to a psychiatric officer for an evaluation of their thought processes. If it is true that this thing happened, then we must hand them over for a brain surgery to be conducted on them. If it isnt true, then those who claim effected the arrest must have theirs also examined. I simply dont understand why those bused voters would move all the way from Bolga or Bawku to come and register in Ashanti Region. If they are mentally sound, then why would they waste time and money to come and register in Kumasi. I wonder what intend to achieve by registering their names in Kumasi. This is an area where if you are an NDC member you get intimidated by the NPP, he said.
