Several footballers have tried to pull off the hard-man act while completing the ice bucket challenge, but former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien made no such attempt.
The AC Milan man was nominated for the challenge by team-mate Mario Balotelli and looked fairly content as he sat reeling off the names of those he would pass the buck to, while waiting the deluge of ice water.
