Aspirant Says He Wants To Unite NDC In Ayawaso East

Mr Ismaila Ali Horoya, aspiring Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ayawaso East Constituency, had promised to unite the supporters to retain power in the 2016 general elections. Mr Horoya said he would harness and mobilize executives and all supporters in the constituency to ensure the implementation of the vision and plans of the constituency. He told the GNA in an interview that the constituency had been loyal to the party since 1996 general elections but had seen little improvement and job creation for the youth. He attributed these challenges to poor organization on the part of some constituency executives and called on the supporters to vote for him in the constituency elections scheduled for September. Mr Horoya said the supporters were discerning and as such there was the need for the leadership of the party to create an enabling environment for the youth by providing job opportunities and institute skills development projects. He said some of the supporters had lost confidence in the current organizer of the party in the constituency. Mr Horoya said he would institute an action plan with support of the national executives to respond to the needs of the party supporters in the constituency. He stressed the need for the partys hierarchy in the constituency to identify loyal and committed supporters for effective campaigning to recapture power in 2016.
