NDC To Retain Cape Coast North � Seaman

The Chairman-elect of the Cape Coast North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Francis Gbeho (aka Seaman), has stated that the constituency will be retained for the NDC in the 2016 parliamentary election. He said he was optimistic that the challenging economic times would be resolved in the quickest possible time and the NDC would retain the seat. Mr Gbeho polled 230 of the 281 votes cast to beat the incumbent chairman, Mr Elvis Amoasah, in an election held over the weekend. He said there was no doubt that the economy was experiencing challenging times which had worsened the state of the Ghanaian but he believed in the ability of the Mahama government to bring the economy back on track. He urged the other executive members to hit the ground running and ensure that the party structures at the grass-roots were effectively working to ensure victory for the NDC in 2016. Mr Kenneth Mensah was elected Vice Chairman. Mr Peter Gyekye polled 175 votes to be elected Secretary, while Mr Samuel Walker had 186 votes to win as treasurer. Abdul Adeie was elected Youth Organiser, Madam Lily Ayim, Women's Organiser, while Isaac Edzie was elected Propaganda Secretary. The rest are Deputy Secretary, Paul Amissah; Deputy Organiser, Ellis Nii Boye; Deputy Youth Organiser, Francis Otto and Deputy Women�s Organiser, Isha Dawad.
