A twenty-nine-year-old miner, Kofi Adjei, on Monday evening met his untimely death when he was crushed to death on his motorbike by a hit-and-run driver while on the way to have supper. Information gathered by the DAILY HERITAGE indicated that, the bizarre accident occurred around 6:30 pm on Monday when the deceased was on the motorbike to have supper at Linda Dor restaurant located at the Bunso Junction. According to a witness, the deceased told his friends that he was going to have supper at the restaurant; however, minutes later they received the sad news about the gory accident. Sources said the deceased, in an attempt to join the Accra -Kumasi Highway upon reaching the Asiakwa junction, was hit by an unknown vehicle killing him instantly. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and sped off after killing the motorbike rider. The deceased sustained severe head fracture even though he was wearing helmet. A lot of blood gushed out of the head and neck. The police upon hearing the accident rushed to the scene and conveyed the body to the Kibi government hospital morgue. The driver of the vehicle that crushed the deceased to death is still on the run.
