Former General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John has assured party members who cannot wait to see Nana Akufo-Addo lead the party into election 2016 that their wish will soon be granted with a 90% win. According to him, many people who are disillusioned by the bad governance of the Mahama-led Administration are yearning for a change and they see that change in Nana Akufo-Addo who will win the NPP flagbearer contest resoundingly. ��Akufo-Addo will win by 90%. All those waiting to have Nana Addo as leader and flagbearer should be rest assured that he will be elected on Sunday. ��all those people calling on Nana Addo to step down because he would be 72 years at the time of the 2016 general elections should take a look at the Presidents of Cameroun and Zimbabwe...How old are they?...What beats my mind is that most of these people have parents who are older than Nana Addo yet they respect them and go to them for advice. Meaning, they are more knowledgeable and experienced,� he opined on Okay FM . This was in reaction to an assertion by Dr. Sekou Nkrumah son of the first President of Ghana, that the two-time presidential hopeful is too old to be President. To him, at this time in Ghana�s history, the country needs a good leader who can address the nation�s numerous problems and also position the country strategically in the globe. And in his view, Nana Addo would be too old to handle the tedious job of a president. Nonetheless, the former Chief Scribe believes in spite on Nana Akufo-Addo�s age, he would be capable of working assiduously to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians than the sitting President who is relatively younger.
