One person has been confirmed dead following Tuesday�s rainfall which lasted for more than 10 hours. The body of a ten-year-old girl who has not yet been identified was found on Wednesday at Mandela, a suburb of Teshie-Nungua in the Greater Accra Region. Eric Asare an eyewitness reported that the girl was heading home from school but was swept away by the heavily-flowing water as she attempted to cross a bridge. Unfortunately, the pressure of the water was too much and she couldn�t survive it. Last Tuesday�s torrential rain wreaked havoc on most parts of the national capital, rendering many homeless and bringing business activities to a standstill as rain water took over homes and streets of the metropolis.
