Nana Addo Optimistic Of NPP's Unity

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, a New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flag bearer aspirant says the pre-congress agitations and anxieties would soon give way for harmony and unity to be restored in the party. The 2012 NPP flag bearer said he is aware that many are worried about what is happening at the party leadership level, and the event that occurred at its head office recently. Nana Addo says the party had overcome many challenges it went through since its formation in 1947 and so the current wrangling would be a thing of the past. The aspirant, who met with Greater Accra executive members and delegates of the party in Tema, stressed that "we will overcome and in 2016 we will be ready for the test and this time around, we will win". According to him, he believed that the good sense of the party's followers would yield good results in addition to the measures being put in place by the National Executive Council and the intervention of former President John Kufuor. Nana Addo said: "I am assuring you that I will do whatever is necessary on my part to put the NPP together." He said for the party to win, members do not only have to work hard, but must also stand shoulder to shoulder, together in solidarity and fellowship. On the upcoming 2016 elections, he indicated that "this time we will take our fight to the polling stations, our strategies, energies and everything we have will be deployed there". Nana Addo said Ghanaians are waiting for the NPP to rescue them from the failing National Democratic Congress, better Ghana Agenda which is evidenced in the high cost of living, lack of jobs for the youth, increasing rate of utility tariffs among other economic hardships. He urged the delegates to vote massively for him to get the opportunity to lead the party to victory in 2016. Nana Addo was accompanied by the 2012 NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and other high ranking party members.
