NPP In A Strong Position To Recapture Power; But Nana Addo Shouldnt Be Flagbearer - Sekou Nkrumah

Former National Coordinator of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, strongly believes the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in poll position to recapture power in 2016, due to abysmal leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and his failure to tackle the current economic challenges, as well as pervasive corruption in the system. According to him, it is evidential that the NPP is ahead of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in terms of ideology, thus leadership is a huge factor to consider under the present problems the country is currently faced with. Speaking on Okay Fms Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah posited that the opposition party has capable personalities with enough experience and commitment to change the fortunes of the country.. The former NYA National Coordinator rated the candidature of Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen above the rest of the other Presidential hopefuls including twice defeated Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo; citing Nana Addos age as a disadvantage to his chances. In terms of experience, Nana Addo and Alan Kyerematen are on the same wavelength because they have both served as ministers of state but age is not on the side of Nana Akufo-Addo. We need to look at the age because why do you have to use somebody who age is not on his side to hold that high office? I think Nana Addo is too old and I think it is something that should not be swept under the carpet especially when we have experienced unprecedented event as a sitting President Mills dying in office. Of course, that was due to his sickness but as you advanced in age obviously you are opened to sickness and may not be in good shape especially when Ghana needs a leader who is in good shape to deal with the innumerous problems we have...I see NPP in a strong position to recapture power in 2016 but Nana Addo should not be allowed to hold that high office because of our past experience with late Professor Mills; he couldnt perform due to sickness associated with his age, he asserted.
