A representative of the Ghana Muslim Mission, Mrs Habiba Abubakar, has advised women to continue to play an important role in the upbringing of children. She said women were good managers of the home and thus needed to use their skills to help minimise indiscipline in the society, especially among the youth. She gave the advice when she addressed the 35th National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women�s Association of Ghana (Lajina Imaillah) held at the Sunyani Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region. The three-day convention, held on the theme, �Moral Excellence: Indisputable Requirement of An Ideal Women�, aimed at creating opportunities for the association to renew its commitment to God, share ideas and create a platform for networking. The National President of the association, Hajia Hafsa Obosu, advised parents to inculcate in their wards the spirit of determination and perseverance to face and deal with the challenges they might face as they made progress in life. In his address, the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr Eric Opoku, expressed concern about the manner in which national issues were being politicised, saying issues that could be beneficial to the nation were criticised on partisan lines to the detriment of national development. He, therefore, called on religious leaders to advise their congregation to refrain from politicising issues on national development, explaining that �the nation is now polarised by partisan politics�.
