Alan Must Not Resign From NPP Again Should He Lose Eventually

As the New Patriotic Party [NPP] gears up to hold its Special Electoral College to elect the first [5] leading contenders to battle for the flagbearer position, a leading member of the youth front of the Party as admonished presidential hopeful, Alan Kyeremanten not to resign from the party should he lose eventually. David Asante, who is the spokesperson for the pressure group �Let My Vote Count Alliance� in an with Peacefmonline.com, says his caution statement stems from the action embarked on by the flagbearer hopeful (Alan) after he resigned from the party in 2008 when he was soundly beaten by Nana Addo. �Resigning from the party [NPP] immediately you lose an election is certainly not the way to go in building the party to make it a formidable force to recapture power,� he said. The NPP communication team member further opined that, it will be surprising if any presidential hopeful, �specifically Alan Kyeremanten� resign from the party after the up-coming flagbearership race. �The party needs a united front for elections 2016, the aspirants must recognize the obligation to match political strength with political restraint. They must be prepared for either a win or lose, the confrontation of power and the limitation of power, defending the party�s interest and negotiate individual interest, this is a path which I edge all aspirants to pursue before, during and after congress,� he added.
