HELLO FM, another family of the Despite group of companies is 10 years. The idea of setting up the Station was conceived by the C.E.O of the Despite group of companies, Dr Osei Kwame to serve the people of Ashanti and beyond after serving residents of the Nation�s Capital, Accra with PEACEFM, the number one radio station. Having been in existence in mainstream radio and regarded by most people as the most formidable, responsive and dominant on the airwaves in the Ashanti Region, Hello FM is the first bell that rings in every ear of the ordinary person. Hello FM, a predominantly Akan speaking station which began commercial operations in August 2004 in the Ashanti Region since its onset, became very competitive and immediately won the hearts of many with the introduction of its flagship Akan spoken programmes such as Akoko Abon Sports, Kokrokoo, Bohobio, Ekwan so brebree, Etuo muo Sum News and above all good music at all times. With the theme �A decade celebration using traditional medium in bringing radio to the ordinary listener�� Hello FM officially launched its ten years anniversary on Monday which was commemorated with a magnificent benediction from the clergy and choral tunes from the L.I.M.P.S. of the Amakom Seventh Day Adventist Church. The General Manager of Hello FM, Mr. Odei Asare, speaking at the official launching ceremony of the station's 10th Anniversary celebration, expressed his profound gratitude to God for the station to achieve such a historic milestone in its endless service to the people of Ashanti Region and beyond. He noted that the ten years anniversary will be observed with many free gifts, souvenirs, among others which is designed to show appreciation to the station�s loyal and cherished listeners. "As Part of the celebrations and to show our appreciation to our listeners, fuel was distributed freely to commercial drivers who were lucky to catch the distribution team at the various fuel stations across the region on Monday," he disclosed. The Director of Finance and Administration of the Despite Group of Companies, Fadda Dickson and the General Manager of the station Mr.Odei Asare were joined by seasoned men of God including the Area Head of The Church of Pentecost in Ghana, Apostle Badu Wood, Southern Head of the Deeper Life Church, Pastor E.K Doudu to cut the anniversary cake. Other activities such as street carnival, dinner and thanksgiving service have also been outlined.
