Asamoah Gyan's Bro Turns Himself In...After Police Declared Him "WANTED"

Baffour Gyan, the Elder brother of Black Stars Skipper, Asamoah Gyan, who was declared wanted by the police after he allegedly assaulted the Ashanti Regional Editor of the Daily Graphic, Daniel Kenu, has finally turned himself in. He personally "reported" himself to the Ashanti Regional Police Command on Saturday morning. ASP Tanko, Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Command, who confirmed the news to Hello FM, a sister-station of Peace FM based in Kumasi a short while ago, also disclosed that Baffour Gyan, who had a playing stint with Asante Kotoko Football Club a few years ago, has written a caution statement and will assist with investigations. "He has reported himself...I think he heard that we were looking for him and he has come. We are grateful to him for his coming," ASP Tanko said. Baffour Gyan is said to have led some machomen to assault state-owned Daily Graphics Ashanti Regional Editor, Mr Daniel Kenu, for posing what they considered to be a needless question to the Black Stars captain regarding accusations that he (Asamoah) had sacrificed his friend (Castro) for spiritual purposes while the two went on holidays at Ada in June. Castro and a lady friend, Janet Badu, disappeared while surfing the Ada estuary waves on a jet ski. They have not been found since the accident. Baffour Gyan allegedly launched the first attack against the reporter before the machomen joined. According to reports, Kenu had gone to the Baba Yara stadium on Friday to pick his accreditation for the Ghana-Uganda AFCON qualifiers game scheduled for Saturday, when Asamoah Gyans brother and the machomen accosted him without provocation. Following the pummeling he received, the journalist had to seek medical treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after he had filed a police report. More soon...
