Three Crashed To Death

Three people who were crossing the road at the Nkawkaw Soldier Junction traffic light met their untimely death Monday evening when a KIA truck driver lost control of his vehicle and ran into a saloon car that had stopped because of the red light that was showing. DAILY GUIDE gathered that the KIA, with registration number GW 2676-Z, was running at top speed as it was approaching the traffic light, and rammed into the saloon car � with registration number GE 760-13. An eyewitness told this reporter that the truck dragged the car over the three pedestrians who had then reached the middle of the road. The two drivers sustained various degrees of injury and are currently on admission at the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw. The police, who later rushed to the scene with an ambulance, conveyed the bodies of the deceased � one elderly woman and two young men (names unknown) � to the same hospital. As at the time of filing this report yesterday, the police were at the accident scene towing the mangled vehicles to the police station.
