Alan Camp Is Not Perturbed By Massive Endorsement For Nana Addo

A member of the Alan Kyeremateng campaign team has replied critics of the Presidential Candidate aspirant for his seemingly intransigent posture at a time when almost all leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are endorsing Nana Akufo-Addo to be the flagbearer of the party. She says one cannot understand the dealings of the NPP from a distance unless a fully committed member who understands its ways. NPP is like a lodge, you would have to belong to it to understand its dealings, she said. According to the out-spoken former NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso, history is on the side of Alan Kyeremateng because of the fact that the happenings in the party now is a replica of what took place in the build up to the 1997 delegates congress of the NPP. this is very painful for me to say but the truth must be said. In the lead up to that (1997) congress, everyone declared for Nana Addo as against (ex-President) John Agyekum Kufour, to the extent that his own blood brother, Hon. Kwame Addo Kufour was even part of Nana Addos team, but President Kufour won and eventually became President of Ghana. If God has ordained you to be President, it will surely come to pass, Hilda Addo argued. These comments come after the MP for Asuogyaman Constituency, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, one of the four remaining contenders for the Presidential candidate position, waiting to be decided upon by the delegates of the party on the 18th Ocotober, bowed out. "I am, therefore, withdrawing from the race to lend my support to the united movement to ensure that our great party stays on the united path to wrest power from the National Democratic Congress," he said at a Press Briefing. But Madam Josephine Hilda Addo is of the view that the Alan Kyeremateng camp is not perturbed by the numerous endorsements going the way of Nana Addo.
