Ernest Owusu Bempah, Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), has threatened to put an end to Kofi Adams' political career. Ernest Owusu Bempah told Peacefmonline.com that the Spokesperson for the Rawlingses, who also doubles as the Assistant General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has betrayed the former First Family. According to him, Kofi Adams is a traitor so far as Ghana's politics is concerned and this is because he has supposedly sold his "conscience" to the ruling party. Kofi Adams backed Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings when she stood against the candidacy of the late President John Evans Atta Mills to gain another term in office. During the NDC's Sunyani Congress in 2011, Kofi Adams threw his weight behind the former First Lady to emerge victor in the congress but he recently swore never to support anybody who competes a "sitting President." He also said to have described the NDP as a "useless" party. "If they are saying I am a found�ing member of the NDP then I am coming to disband that party I am disbanding it because as far as I know, it is a useless party...They should check the reg�ister if they can find my name as being a founding member of the NDP. I am still the spokesman for Flt. Lt. Rawlings and the former presi�dent is not a member of NDP either." Reacting to Kofi Adams' comments, the outspoken NDP devotee labeled the NDC Deputy General Secretary as �the most treacherous politician ever in this country�He was in fact one of those people who got the idea for us to form the NDP party and then he used us to go and solicit money from [President] John Mahama. He sold our party to John Mahama that he can destroy our party. �Now he�s turning round and telling the whole world that our party is useless. It tells you that Kofi Adams is a mercenary. He is a traitorous person and he is a big liar, and Ghanaians should not take him serious�If anybody is useless, it�s Kofi Adams who is useless." He further stressed that the NDP remains a formidable force so far as governance is concerned. "My party is working�Our party will going to congress for you all and the whole world to see. For him to come out to make that statement; it tells you he�s insulting the former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana� who is Ex-President Rawlings� wife. �So, he�s insulting the master; Jerry John Rawlings and the family.� And without mincing words, Owusu Bempah told Peacefmonline.com to put him on record as he stated categorically that "Kofi Adams is the most useless person ever happened to this country in terms of politics�some of us, we will finish his political career for him.�
