NEAT 100.9 FM Unmasks Two-Faced NPP/NDC Polling Station Executives

An ongoing investigation by NEAT 100.9 FM has revealed that as many as eighteen (18) Polling Station Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) double as Branch Executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in one Constituency, in the Greater Accra. This was done by simply comparing the names and photographs the representatives of the two leading parties in the country, at the polling station level and very first Constituency (Ayawaso West Wuogon) confirmed the suspicion of the group; eighteen individuals turned out to be in both registers. These were people who had taken part in the voting to elect National executives of the NPP in February and are waiting to decide who becomes the Presidential Candidate of the party come 18th October, this year. These same eighteen people hold an equivalent position in the NDC and would, again, be voting in the National Delegates Congress slated for the 24th of October, 2014. However, in an interview with John Boadu, the National Organizer of the opposition NPP, he also disclosed he had hints of the issue in certain Constituencies and the party is preparing to embark on a due diligence process to weed out two-faced executives at the grass roots. To him, the winner takes all system where the ruling party and its members take total control of every state asset, to the extent that one must belong to the party in government in order to get favors, which should have been his right as a citizen could be a factor. Meanwhile, his counterpart in the NDC, Yaw Boateng Gyan attributed the trend to the fact that everyone would want to be associated with the ruling party. some of these things are motivated by greedbecause they always want to align themselves with the ruling party, he said. Nonetheless, Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agarko expressed shock, when NEAT FM told him of the preliminary findings of the research. He, however, promised to make a comprehensive submission on the matter after the evidence had been made available to him but the question this inquest has raised is, what are the motivations for wanting to become a polling station executive of the two leading parties with two completely different ideologies?
