CIMG Has Launched 2013 Silver Jubilee Marketing Performance Awards

The National President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana Dr. Mrs. Shola Safo-Duodu has launched the 25th edition [Silver Jubilee] of the marketing performance awards for 2013 at the Golden Tulip, Accra. The award was initiated in accordance with the institute�s mission to deepen the interest of the marketing profession and that of members and to ensure that the institute impacts positively in the performance of its legitimate role in society and the economy of Ghana and the world at large. According to the National President of CIMG, the milestone is worth celebrating as the CIMG marketing awards scheme has proved consistently to be arguably the best award schemes in the country with national and international recognition as organizations are now adopting creative and innovative marketing strategies in their activities to improve in their performance. Stating October 18 as the date for the 2013 Silver Jubilee Marketing Performance Awards Night, she said the CIMG awards scheme has aided in and proved as a strong catalyst in promoting corporate excellence among organizations; helping in the development of individual professional capabilities. Dr. Mrs. Shola Safo-Duodu asserted that the scheme has gained prestige due its carefully developed selection procedure that interrogates and bring out the requisite standards needed for winning the awards. �Its landmark achievements and transparency in the selection process add up to keep the scheme going for 25 years now. Being the silver jubilee edition, the 2013 CIMG marketing performance awards will be held under the theme �25 years of promoting corporate excellence; the impact of CIMG marketing performance awards� she stated. She said the scheme having travelled all these 25 years without blemish and continues to be stronger is an indication of its positive contribution to society; adding the theme was chosen in order to reflect on the extent to which the scheme has impacted positively on our society. She however hinted that the basic consideration that runs through all the awards evaluation includes visibility, corporate social responsibilities and financials; indicating that more innovations have been brought in to enhance the selection process as AC Nielsen and Ipsos Ghana are the selected research organizations to carry out the short-listing of entries and the interviewing of nominees where necessary. She further stated that the Silver Jubilee CIMG marketing performance awards 2013 will cover 6 major areas: Personalities, CIMG Hall of Fame, Media Organizations/MARCOMMS, Not-for-Profit Organizations and Business Organizations and Products .
