According to the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Mrs H.A Acheampong, the two were arrested during an operation supervised by the Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Nathan Kofi Boakye on the Kumasi-Accra highway. She said they were arrested at Aprade, a section of the Kumasi-Accra road, and a search on the first drivers car revealed that he did not have a fire extinguisher and a warning triangle while the second driver who was in charge of a truck loaded with sand failed to cover it.
