Hajia Fati Granted 200m Cedis Bail...For Allegedly Assaulting Afoko's Errand Boy

New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart Hajia Fati Amadu and the Ayawaso Central Youth Organizer of the party, Moses Abor, have each been granted 200 million Cedis bail in a case of assault lodged against them by the partys National Chairman, Paul Afoko. According to Hajia Fati, the bail was secured by Hopeson Adorye and Ayawaso Central NPP MP, Hon. Henry Quartey and other NPP stalwarts at the Police Headquarters on Friday. Daily Guide broke the news that the NPP Chairman, Paul Afoko, had lodged a complaint against the two party activists at the Police Headquarters, claiming that the Nima Police had failed to properly handle an assault case he lodged against the duo. Atuluk is an errand boy of Paul Afoko and was said to have been attacked near the NPP headquarters, but the rumour mill is agog with reports that he might have been attacked by people he allegedly had business transactions with. Joined in the petition is Hajia Fati, an activist of the party, who contested for the position of Vice Chairman of the party during the Tamale conference of the political grouping. Speculations are rife that the petition was initiated by party Chairman Paul Afoko, who is said to have been putting pressure on the police to act. Reacting to the issue on Okay Fms Ade Akye Abia Weekend Edition, Hajia Fati said she was surprised to have received invitation from the Nima Police Station requesting of her to appear at the Police National Headquarters for interrogation in connection with the assault case on Atuluk. She hinted that she had earlier reported to the Nima Police, a case of death threat on her life by the same Atuluk and so the invitation by the Nima Police alleging that she was behind an attack on the Afoko errand boy took her by surprise. If not for the invitation from Nima Police, I would not have known what was going onNima Police sent me to the National Police Headquarters for interrogation on Atuluk and they said Paul Afoko reported me to them for masterminding assault on his errand boy.I told the police I dont know anything about the assault on Atuluk..Moses and I were granted 200 million Cedis bail each to re-appear at the Police Headquarters on Wednesday September 24, 2014, she revealed.
