NDC Hopeful Of Settling Cases Out Of Court

Lawyer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Victor Adawudu, has expressed optimism of settling the lawsuit brought against the party by a member in the Ashanti region out of court. A former president of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the NDC at the Akrokerri School of Education, Linus Njonola, has secured a court injunction thus halting the partys October congress. He sued the NDC for violating its constitution by keeping executives whose tenure had expired at post. But Victor Adawudu in an interview with Citi News said the party is confident of settling the issue before the next hearing. He explained that the party is seeking an out of court settlement because we are all members of the NDC family and we have extended the olive branch because if you are not clear about something, lets have that matter settled between us. Adawudu mentioned that the plaintiff and his lawyer have been contacted but if reason does not prevail, then that means we would have to fight it on the legal battle. He however indicated that his outfit will keep pushing for an out of court settlement but we are amenable to see how we can sort this matter out. The party is scheduled to organize its national congress on October 24 to elect national executives.
