DCE Fights Judge And Bailiff In A Courtroom

A District Chief Executive by name Bossman Osei Hyeama, has been sentenced by a High Court in the Central region for contempt. The Twifo Praso DCE is to serve two weeks in prison before he would reappear before the house to answer contempt charges against him. Peace FMs Central Regional correspondent, Nana Sankah, reports that Bossman Osei Hyeama was today convicted for insulting the High Court Judge and a bailiff. He is to serve his time at the Ankaful Prisons. Nana Sankah explains that the DCE became unhappy with an injunction the Cape Coast High Court placed on a demolition exercise of the Twifo Praso market sometime last year. The angry DCE, is said to have labeled the judge corrupt and made it clear that he is convinced the High Court Judge had been compromised. Mr Osei Hyeaman also hurled his shoe at the bailiff of the court during an altercation in the courtroom.
