Sack Members Who Sued NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Walewale, Simon Ali is calling on the partys leadership to sack two of its members who are seeking a court injunction on the upcoming congress in October 18. The two, Rexford Agyei Frimpong and Oppong Kyekyeku filed a suit at the Accra Fast Track High Court seeking an interlocutory injunction on the partys October 18 congress. However, speaking to Citi News, Simon Walewale said the two failed to use internal procedures to address their issues, hence his call. Their decision results in unnecessary tension so I am calling on the National Executive Committee(NEC) to sack members who violate the partys procedures in resolving their grievances, he insisted. The court application follows calls from flagbearer aspirants, Alan Kyerematen and Addai Nimoh that the partys leadership to reconsider the date for the congress. The two said the October 18 date will not give them ample time to reach the over 140,000 delegates across the country. Nana Akufo-Addos camp in response to the call said that they dont agree with the arguments from the two candidates because according to them, the situation is like a 90 minutes football game, we all have the same time to compete and win. The last time the two were in court, counsel for the plaintiffs pleaded for more time to study the partys response to their suit. The Court has set October 3, to rule on the application.
