Do Not Apologize To Anyone - IMANI Boss Tells Sulley Muntari

Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe says Sulley Muntari must not apologise to the FA and any member of the executive committee for his attack on Moses Armah, Executive Committee member. He explained that, Muntaris reacted perfectly since he was wronged by the executive committee although the FA Boss says otherwise. Muntari is currently serving an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars after slapping the Medeama SC owner in Brazil. The President of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Kwesi Nyantakyi, offered a rare insight into Sulley Muntaris alleged assault on Moses Armah, at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil when he appeared before the presidential Commission of Enquiry. Nyantakyis account on Sulley-Armah bout Kwesi Nyantakyi who appeared before the Dzamefe Commission on Wednesday described as shocking for a player to physically fight a committee member in a prestige tournament like the World Cup. He narrated that, the bloody and nasty assault was triggered by an appearance fee row between players of the Black Stars and the Management Committee members. He opined that, tempers flared when I and some FA executive members met with some senior players of the team to decide how the $100,000 per head appearance fee would be paid. The Wa All Stars Boss said that, during the intense meeting, Armah had urged Muntari to be patient with the FA and that the money would be paid Muntari then asked who Armah was but I explained to him that he is an executive committee member of the team. He added that, Armahs statement did not go down well with the AC Milan midfielder, who leapt out of his seat and slapped him. He said despite several appeals to Muntari to be patient, the midfielder went on to damage property belonging to the Meadema President and the hotel after which he [Nyantakyi] was injured by a broken bottle while trying to prevent Muntari from inflicting further damage on Armah. Kwesi Nyantakyi who is making the headlines after swearing by the Holy Quran before the commission said Muntari also threatened to deal with Armah wherever he met him, prompting the FA to relocate him [Armah] to another hotel. Nyantakyis assertion clearly shows that, Moses Armah never defended himself. Moses Armah confirmed punching Muntari back in an interview The Medeama SC owner explained to Graphic Sports after the World Cup that he replied Sulley Muntaris slaps because he was provoked beyond control. Initially, I didn't want to touch him because he is a player, but I was compelled to defend myself when he slapped me twice he said. Adding that, Muntari's behaviour was very strange, as if he was possessed He also revealed that, I was also told that Muntaris wife came looking for me to apologise on her husbands behalf when I left the hotel. Franklins view The Policy think-Tank Boss, Franklin Cudjoe is of a view that, Muntari must not be remorseful of his actions which has been described as unfortunate by many. Sulley Ali Muntari, please do not apologize to anyone. They wronged you and you reacted. But for you all these, the rots and insults would not have been known. You earn what they give you in a months tournament in a week. Let them go bananas... he posted on Facebook
