Fraud @NSS No NewsThis Gov't Already Wallowing In Corruption! IMANI BOSS

Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe has said the latest fraud at the National Service Secretariat (NSS) comes as no surprise since the Mahama-led administration has proven to be the most corrupt government ever. "The revelations that the national service scheme is the latest theft enterprise in the current government come as no surprise," he said. Officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) have uncovered a GH7.9 million deep-rooted rot at the NSS. The sum represents the allowance paid to 22,612 non-existent service persons (Ghost names) in more than 100 districts across the country in the month of July only. It also emerged that some prominent officials of the NSS paid GH200,000 plus tubers of yam, laptops and goats to BNI detectives to conceal the rot. Currently, per a service person, GH350 is paid monthly as allowance, that meant, at least GH7,914,200 was lost to the state every month to ghosts. However, Franklin Cudjoe took to Facebook to share his view on the shocking yet true corruptible practices on-going at the secretariat. Franklins view They have been jacking up the payroll with ghosts for years but reached aggravated levels under the most disinterested and sleepy government in the last 6 years. When I initially resigned from the government's committee, I offered the following in order to check payroll fraud. I still do not believe that the wage bill is truly 70% of our internally generated revenues. The Finance Minister's vaunted GIFMIS will not work. Decentralisation and outsourcing is the way forward. The centre must stop employing all public service personnel. My point-.The Controller and Accountant General must sublet payroll management to private software companies.
